As studies continue to expand their capacity to virtually interact with participants and deliver research treatment interventions or session content, it’s important to stay up to date on the digital solutions that WashU provides for remote and/or decentralized study conduct. Below we describe WashU’s digital solutions for Telehealth (virtual clinical care) and Virtual Research Sessions.

Telehealth:

If your research involves a Telehealth (virtual clinical care) component, please consult the Telehealth resources made available through the WashU Faculty Practice Plan (FPP).

Virtual Research Sessions:

If your research does NOT involve Telehealth (virtual clinical care), but does include virtual research sessions, please make sure you are using WashU’s HIPAA Compliant Zoom (which should be the default Zoom if you are faculty or staff at WashU Med).  If you need to request access to the WashU HIPAA Compliant Zoom, you can request access through the WashU IT Service Now Portal.  For more information about using WashU Zoom, please consult the WashU IT Zoom Info Hub.

For regulatory questions specific to your study, please consult with the IRB/HRPO and/or their published Research Guide.

If you would like to further discuss your research study that involves Telehealth and/or virtual research sessions, please feel free to contact the mHRC to request consultation.
